6 weeks ago I went location independent.

I got rid of almost all my stuff except for what fit in my backpack and then I left Berlin, Germany to become a digital nomad traveling the world indefinitely.

This has been my goal for a while now and I am truly proud to have made it a reality. It did take some dedication and a lot of hard work but it’s possible.

There are many ways to go location independent but the way I do it, is through my online business: the CreativeWebBiz website and the services I offer on it (webite building and online biz consulting). All I need is my laptop which doubles as my office and I’m ready to go wherever my heart takes me.

And if I can do it, you can do it too!

We all have gifts and talents we can share with the world. And most of these can be built into an online business of your own. Just be a little creative and dare to think outside the box.

If you need help thinking about a way to make it work for you, just share the challenges you are facing in the comments below and I will be happy to share some tips, tricks, tools and resources with you!

oh and a question: where do you stay when temporarily in a country? friend’s homes? hostales? studios?

congrats Yamile!! you give me “kriebels” to join in the location independent adventure! so does the hubby and my 2,5y daughter :-)
it goes right into my dreambag and who knows what will come out…
thank you so much for being such an inspiring pioneer!

    love,

@Nele here is a blog of a family with a daughter who went location independent 5 years ago. They travel on a 24.000$ a year budget: http://soultravelers3.com/
It’s really not that expensive to do it. I stay in rooms that I rent, with friends, family, whatever makes sense at a given location. And if you go to Central/South America or Asia, you can maintain a pretty luxurious lifestyle with what we spent here on rent alone. Go for it!!!

    Yamile!

Truly inspiring what you’re doing. Wish you all the best for your travelling… enjoy! Berlin’s missing you dearly – but the rest of the world will enjoy your presence, too!

    Hasta pronto…

WOW–you did it! So happy for you. If your travels ever bring you to the states, Cleveland Ohio is where I’m from. In fact, never left-yet! Family ties keep here, but would love to make a living out of my home. You keep inspiring me–thanks for all the positive posts!

Doreen, it’s never too late to start traveling :-)
And if you want to make a living out of your home, just keep believing in yourself. No matter what your talents and skills are, there is always a way to make it happen. You can do it!
